I can't begin to explain how much I'm yearning for more vocals in house music these days and when I say vocals I'm not just talking about the occasional input from darth vader or a girl moaning as she does the fandango with herself; I'm talking about the kind of vocals that got me into music in the first place, the vocals you can sing and dance to.
Enter James Fox and his glorious new remix of a lyrically saturated track by Years and Years, consisting of a classic 120 bpm drum beat, some saucy synth and a secluded bass line that whispers to you from somewhere deep within the track; the actual backing-although good-isn't anything special. It's only when you've added the silky smooth vocals of Olly that you have yourself (and this is not unlike dressing a boring old salad) one mother fucking tasty dish, so tasty in fact we've put in the original song to highlight the up-and-coming talent of Years and Years.
In summary: more vocals please.
