Got a corker here guys...
Hailing from Germany, Holger Behn aka H.O.S.H. has made a notable success in the past year or two; considering Watergate in Berlin, Studio 80 in Amsterdam and even Ego in Hamburg as a preferable retreats his retro electronic style has gained some valued momentum from fans and festivals alike.
I'm showcasing you one of his more recent tracks because in all honesty its the first track I'd heard from H.O.S.H. and fortunately it did not disappoint. I hate to use the description of 'groovy' (its naff and reminds me of christian camps) but it's a term that immediately sprang to mind when I listened to 'Woohoo'. A combination of retro vocals and a punchy bass lines takes you zooming back to the 60's, its only when a crazy oscillation sample is introduced that you really feel yourself in the kaleidoscopic era, something I'm sure we're all wanting a part of these days.
"So jump on the band wagon with all us groovy christian kids and jive on down till the sun don't come up!"
Thanks Jeremiah, but I'd rather just have the music.
Many thanks also to Cameron for showing me this track.
